User Deletion Policy


  1. Introduction
    This User Deletion Policy outlines the process and conditions under which users of Skyguard can request the deletion of their accounts. The policy aims to comply with relevant privacy laws and ensure users’ rights to manage their personal data.
  2. User Rights
    Users have the right to request the deletion of their account at any time. Upon request, all associated data will be permanently removed from Skyguard systems, in accordance with applicable laws, unless required to be retained for legal or regulatory purposes.
  3. Scope of Data Deletion
    1. Personal Data: All personally identifiable information (PII) such as name, email, phone number, and other account-related details will be deleted.
    2. Usage Data: Any data related to the user’s interactions with the app, including usage history and preferences, will be permanently removed.
    3. Third-Party Data: Data shared with third-party services through Skyguard will be deleted from our systems. Users must contact third-party services directly for deletion requests of data held by them.
  4. Procedure for Deletion
    1. Request Submission: Users can initiate an account deletion request through the settings menu in the app.
    2. Processing Time: Account deletion requests will be processed within 30 days of confirmation. Users will be notified when the process is complete.
    3. Post-Deletion: Once the account is deleted, the user will no longer be able to recover any data. Users wishing to use Skyguard again must create a new account.
  5. Exceptions to Deletion
    1. Legal and Compliance Requirements: In certain cases, Skyguard may be required to retain specific data to comply with legal obligations or to resolve disputes.
    2. Fraud Prevention: Some data may be retained for fraud prevention or security purposes for a limited time, as permitted by law.
  6. Data Backup Policy
    Data stored in backups will also be purged following the standard backup cycle. However, deletion from backup systems may not be immediate but will occur within a reasonable time frame, as governed by Skyguard's backup policy.
  7. Third-Party Services
    If the user has linked third-party services with their Skyguard account, those services may retain data according to their own policies. Skyguard is not responsible for the data retention policies of third-party services, and users should directly contact those services for data deletion.
  8. Consequences of Deletion
    1. Access to Services: Once an account is deleted, the user will lose access to all data and services related to Skyguard.
    2. Subscription Cancellation: Any active subscriptions linked to the account will be automatically cancelled upon deletion. Refunds, if applicable, will be handled according to the Refund Policy.
  9. Data Protection and Security
    Skyguard takes all reasonable measures to ensure the secure deletion of user data. Deleted data will be irretrievable and securely erased following industry-standard practices.
  10. Amendments
    Skyguard reserves the right to amend this policy at any time. Any significant changes will be communicated to users through the app or via email.
